Case Study – Luxury Magician

How do you make a magician feel like a Fortune 500 brand?

Chris and I had worked together before. I'd originally helped create his logo and a handful of assets to give the business an early sense of direction. A few years later, with momentum building, he came back looking for help attracting more corporate bookings, where his performances delivered the greatest value.

After attending several of his live shows, it became clear that his marketing wasn't reflecting the calibre of the experience he delivered. While many magicians relied on generic promotional material, there was an opportunity to create something that felt more premium, memorable and distinctive.

The result was a carefully crafted brochure combining strategic messaging, art direction and visual storytelling to elevate Chris's brand perception, positioning him less as a performer for hire and more as a trusted corporate entertainment partner.

Premium Act, Average Perception

Chris is an exceptional corporate magician, regularly performing at high-profile events, trade shows, and virtual meetings. But his previous marketing materials didn’t reflect the professionalism or creativity of his work. He needed a brochure that would elevate his brand, speak directly to corporate decision-makers, and clearly position him as a premium entertainment choice — not just another magician.

His audience — business owners, event managers, and executive teams — weren’t looking for a party trick. They were looking for something remarkable that would impress colleagues, clients, or senior leadership, and align with the high standards of their events.

Testimonial

Chris Dodd, Corporate Magician

"Working with Rory to create my new brochure was professional from concept to completion. I sent him my copy, images and general ideas, and he returned with a beautifully designed, story-led brochure that I’m genuinely proud to hand to prospective clients. It’s far more than a simple catalogue of services - it draws readers in and gives them a sense of who they’ll be booking. That personal touch is vital in my line of work, as event planners need confidence that the person representing their brand will connect with their audience. What impressed me most was Rory’s communication and professionalism throughout the process; he kept everything on track with quick responses and sound advice, and even my more outlandish design ideas were met with enthusiasm and clever solutions. The brochure has already helped me present myself more confidently to corporate clients. Rory offers brand design with a personal, reliable touch that makes collaboration a real pleasure.”
